Frequently Asked Questions

Question

Answer

Is there parking?

Yes, there is a large parking area within a farm setting and it is also free to park. There will also be disabled parking if you speak to one of our parking attendants.

Are dogs allowed at the Pumpkin Patch?

Yes, well behaved dogs are allowed, however they must be kept on leads at all times. Also dog owners must clear up if their dog fouls.

What facilities/toilets do you have on-site?

We have toilets and hand washing facilities on site.

Is the ground suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs?

The pumpkin patch is within a farm setting so ground conditions will depend heavily on the weather. If there has been abundant rainfall then conditions will be muddy and potentially slippery. If the weather is dry then ground conditions may still be bumpy. While those using wheelchairs and buggies are wholeheartedly welcomed at the patch, we would ask that users be aware that conditions on the day are wholly dependent upon the weather.

Are you open if it is raining?

YES! Just be sure to bring your wellies, raincoat and umbrellas! Also, keep in mind that the crafts marquee is under cover and there is a second seated marquee for eating in under cover.

Do you sell hot food there?

Yes, there are hot foods and drinks, Hog Roast, Pizzeria, vegan/veggie options and more! Please feel free to bring your own refreshments if you wish.

What footwear is suitable?

Wellies really are the best option, particularly if the weather has been wet in previous weeks. Remember that the pumpkin patch is a farm setting.

Am I able to use my bank card to pay?

What are the prices of the pumpkins?

Small gourds are 50p each, large gourds are £1.00 each
Pumpkin prices vary in price from £1.00 to £7.00 depending on size.

How much is the themed Maize Maze?

Entry for adults £6 each, children £4 each or a family of four for £17. There is no charge for children aged 3 and under in the maize.

How long do the pumpkins last?

As long as they are not bruised in any way, pumpkins will keep for two months or more if they are stored in a cool dry place, for example a garage or outside shed. So if you’re planning to visit on 5th October then they should still be good for 31st October…

Do you sell pumpkin carving kits and carving stencils?

Sold at PYO Pumpkin stations, we have a huge new selection this year of carving kits and pumpkin accessories!

How do we find you?

Is there public transport near you?

A brilliant resource to use is the ‘journey planner’ available on the Suffolk On Board website.

How do I know if there are still pumpkins available to buy?

We always have enough for the entire month of opening and provide regular updates on Facebook. There are thousands of pumpkins planted so nobody will miss out!

Are the small gourds poisonous to eat?

None of the gourds are poisonous, they are all part of the pumpkin/squash family. Some are not recommended to be eaten as they are purely for decorative use and would taste unpleasant. It is not recommended as an un-supervised play toy with a small child as like anything, a child could choke if they were chewing on them.
